At Kindred Montessori, our Spanish Language Program introduces children to a new language through engaging and meaningful experiences. Through stories, music and games, students are immersed in Spanish in a way that feels natural, joyful and developmentally appropriate.
Children will build vocabulary, listening skills and confidence as they participate in interactive activities that encourage communication and expression. The program also fosters an appreciation for Spanish-speaking cultures, helping students develop a broader understanding of the world around them.
Rooted in Montessori principles, our approach emphasizes exploration, repetition and real-life connection allowing children to learn language in a way that is both effective and enjoyable.

At Kindred Montessori, our Global Kitchen program is a dynamic, hands-on learning experience where children come together to explore the joy of cooking, collaboration and discovery. Designed with three dedicated student kitchen spaces, this program allows small groups of students to work closely together, fostering teamwork, communication and a shared sense of accomplishment.
Through guided cooking and baking experiences, students engage in meaningful, real-world applications of math and science. From measuring and sequencing to observing changes in ingredients, children develop practical skills while deepening their understanding of concepts in a natural and engaging way.
The kitchen also serves as a space for cultural exploration. Students are introduced to a variety of foods from around the world, encouraging curiosity, openness and a willingness to try new flavors and traditions. These experiences help broaden their perspectives while creating joyful and memorable moments.
To further enrich the program, local chefs and community members are invited to lead special presentations and cooking experiences, offering students the opportunity to learn from experts and connect with the world beyond the classroom.
Students may also incorporate ingredients grown in our school garden, creating a meaningful connection between what they cultivate and what they prepare, bringing the experience full circle from garden to table.
Rooted in Montessori principles, the Global Kitchen program empowers children to build independence, confidence and life skills in a supportive and engaging environment while having fun every step of the way.

Rooted in Montessori principles, our program empowers children with lifelong skills that extend beyond the classroom, nurturing independence, compassion, inner confidence and a lasting sense of well -being.
Our music curriculum is rooted in the Kodály philosophy and taught by a Kodály-certified Instructor. The music program centers on the belief that music literacy is the right of every child and that the voice is the most natural and accessible instrument by which to learn the language of music. Above all, we believe that music should be a joyful experience.
Kodály pedagogy follows a natural developmental sequence:
-
Prepare - where students explore musical concepts through play and folk song
-
Present - where the concept is consciously named and identified
-
Practice - where the new knowledge is reinforced and applied across various musical contexts.
By honoring this natural progression, we guide our students toward a high level of musical literacy and a lifelong, soulful connection to the art form.
